DJ 525 was born Isaiah Strickland on May 25, hence the name 525. 525 grew up with a love for all types of music as his father is a guitarist and DJ as well. His mother sang in the church choir and his half brother Cory is a singer and song writer. So music has always been a major part of his life. His father kept DJ equipment and instruments around the house. While his dad was at work, he would play music at home after school and on weekends, eventually turning him to pursue a career as a DJ. 

DJ525 has played at several local venues throughout Morristown and the Lake Hopatcong areas, as well as throughout NYC. He has honed his craft or MCing private events as well, such as Sweet 16’s, weddings, birthday parties, and more. By playing at a variety of venues and various types of events, this gave him a chance to mold his skills, thus creating a very unique style. He has the ability to play any genre of music from house to pop to hip hop to classics, and engage a varied range of audiences.
